There is no minimum age but all surfers must be able to swim 25m confidently and unaided
You want to have a special day or night or weekend to remember with the girls, but what will appeal to you all? A weekend in Dublin, Amsterdam or Prague? Overrun with stags and hens as it is, plus the added expense of flights and hotels. Paintballing, dry slope skiing, abseiling or quad biking? A weekend at a spa? Taking out a second mortgage to have hot rocks dumped on your back isn’t an option.
Global Boarders could well have the answer – and will arrange a tailor made package for you with the minimum of fuss and hassle. They provide a ‘Girls Day Out Surf Experience’ – a chance to have a go at surfing in a low pressure, fun environment. No previous experience is necessary (although they do ask that anyone surfing should be able to swim 25 metres confidently). It’s a really fun, energising (and toning!) way to spend a memorable day, with added options of treatments including tanning and waxing, a discounted shopping trip and a fab dinner all possible. They build you a day or weekend stay to fit your requirements and budget exactly. Plus everyone looks great in a wetsuit!
A trip to Cornwall is ideal for surfers of all abilities, including first-timers. It is perfect for those wishing to enjoy great waves and expert guiding in the hands of the Global Boarders team where you'll be guided to and from the best beaches and coached by a Global Boarders fully qualified British Surfing Association instructor who guarantees to have beginners up and riding by the end of their stay and progressors pushing the boundaries of their surfing capabilities. There is also a chance for some video analysis and surf theory workshops including wave prediction/wave data reading for all. All of our staff have been screened and cleared by The Criminal Records Bureau.
Our accommodation is nestled 5 minutes above the picture postcard fishing harbour of Mousehole, which has retained its quaint nature whilst providing an excellent clean, safe harbour area where children just love to explore and spend hours playing in the crystal clear water. The accommodation, which has stunning sea views, is a contemporary barn conversion and both spacious and stylishly furnished. We are in the continual process of making the property as environmentally friendly as possible but with all of the up-to-date modern conveniences [no compost loos!]. The property has been tailored specifically to the requirements of surfers including a board storage area, a rinsing area and a dry room for suits. There is also a work bench and ding (repair) kits available.

We will greet you at either Newquay Airport or Penzance Railway or Bus stations and transfer you to your accommodation - a contemporary barn conversion in a secluded hamlet just 5 minutes walk from the picture-postcard village of Mousehole. There are a number of fabulous restaurants, pubs and a quaint harbour - all within walking distance of the accommodation.
Begin with a leisurely, self-service breakfast where you can feast on croissants, toast, organic muesli with lashings of freshly squeezed juice and Fairtrade tea and coffee.
Our Global Boarders surf instructor who will have already checked which beach has the best conditions. Onboard he or she will have your boards and suits (although guests are more than welcome to bring their own suits should they wish). At the beach we will provide safe storage for your property, and then you'll then receive two hours coaching before lunch and two hours coaching after lunch. Travelling and from the beaches takes you through the varied landscapes of Cornwall from the rugged, rural beauty of Zennor to the dramatic cliff drops around Sennen and Lands End.
Time to relax on the beach and enjoy a light lunch at one of our partner restaurants. Many of the beaches have their own excellent cafes and bars for more essential sugar breaks!
Depending on the break selected we can arrange deals at the best award winning restaurants in West Penwith or you might prefer a private chef to come and cook for the group.
We'll transfer you to back to either Newquay Airport or Penzance. All guests will receive a Global Boarders / BSA diploma subject to criteria being met.
